Thanks Peter ... I feel the same way about this lesson. Covering Psalms in one lesson is daunting. You just kind of have to pick one thing to focus on I think.

Thanks for putting this up. My ward must be behind schedule because we're just getting to this lesson, and I got tapped to sub in for the youth Sunday School class tomorrow. I feel like this is an especially challenging lesson, more deserving of a semester-long class than a 45-minute lesson, but it's worth letting the kids dip their feet in so they can explore it more fully later on.

There are some very good things here that I would have very much have liked to use in my lesson. But the problem is that you assume that because I am a teacher I understand what you are talking about. You should NEVER ask a question without giving us the answer. If I have to spend hours scouring sources to find out what "Parallelism", or "Triadic structure" is, let alone what they tell us about the authors, or what clues they give us on how the Book of Psalms came to be. It is easier to simply use material that is easier to understand. I spend hours trying to put together a decent lesson. But source materials and outlines need to be easy to understand or I simply do not have the time to use them.

Sincerely yours,
